Choices

Life is all about choices.  Right or wrong, good or bad. These decisions are what make us who we are.

Let every bad decision teach you a lesson about yourself that you can use for the rest of your life.

Let every right choice be an affirmation that you are on the right track and allow it to motivate you to keep moving in that direction.

Making right choices is rarely easy, but as long as you know what you are made of, the consequences are a little easier to accept.

James Williamson

Your behaviour is your choice

The overwhelming majority of students in Cowley choose to be well behaved and follow the college behaviour system.  Visitors have told us that the behaviour is Good at Cowley.

Your behaviour impacts on your future

Students who choose to be well behaved at college will do better in exams and have better jobs in the future than those students who choose not to be well behaved.

If a student persistently chooses to be badly behaved, their place at Cowley will be removed.

Key principles

  • Students are responsible for their behaviour and they ‘choose’ the consequences
  • All behaviours have consequences. Staff will always try to catch students being good
  • Students have the right to learn and staff have the right to teach
