Welcome to the CLC Sixth Form
The Sixth Form at Cowley provides a variety of courses to suit a wide range of abilities and aspirations. We offer a comprehensive selection of A-Level subjects as well as one year BTEC courses for those with less than the five G.C.S.E.'s at grade C or above which are needed to start on advanced courses.
At Cowley we see every student's education as a partnership. That partnership is based on a firm
agreement between the college,
the student and their parents. The agreement is intended to give students a understanding of what they can expect from the College and what
will be expected of them in return.
Further Opportunities within The Sixth Form
In addition to the chosen courses above, students have 2 lessons per week of General Studies (does not apply to IB students) and one lesson of basic
conversational language in Spanish, Russian, Italian or Chinese.
Cowley has a proud tradition of providing a wide variety of extra curricular activities. These currently involve:-
- Musical, dance and theatrical activities and events
- Many representative team sports including Hockey, Rugby and Cricket
- Duke of Edinburgh award activities up to gold standard
- Art exhibitions
- Work Experience Abroad
- Young Enterprise
We encourage all students to participate in an extensive range of initiatives, to assume positions of responsibility and gain relevant experience
in the workplace. The majority of Year 13 students progress onto degree or HND courses at Universities and Colleges throughout the country including
Oxbridge. Cowley has excellent links with all Further and Higher Education establishments.
