We are saddened to announce the death of a long-standing and valued colleague, Mr Kieran Doherty. Kieran passed away peacefully at home on Saturday, 4th June.
Kieran worked at the school for 37 years and joined us as a teacher in 1980 with a rich background in mathematics having studied at The University of Oxford. Kieran has also been the school’s exam officer for 16 years.
Kieran was passionate about cricket and rugby and was a firm fixture on most European and international tours over the years.
His friendly, encouraging and down to earth demeanour meant that he was popular with students and staff and will be remembered as a person with a positive attitude who was always more than happy to lend a helping hand. Most lunch times, Kieran could be found setting challenging quizzes for fellow colleagues.
Kieran will be greatly missed. Our thoughts and condolences go to Kieran’s family and to all those who knew him.
