Before the first COVID-19 lockdown, St Helens Libraries ran a competition for young writers, challenging them to write a ‘Twist on a Tale’ in up to 500 words.
Cowleian Isabelle Speed wrote her entry of a ‘Modern Cinderella’, and she won third prize for her twist on the classic story.
During the Easter holidays, there was a belated prize presentation at St Helens Library where Isabelle collected her framed certificate and £20 worth of book tokens.
Congratulations to Isabelle, great work!
