Cowley celebrates as students achieve top GCSE grades
Cowley International College is celebrating GCSE results day as many students gained coveted A* – A grades. 69 per cent of the year group achieved five or more A* to C grades (or equivalent); an impressive 142 A*- A grades were awarded.
The top ten performers share more than 81 A* and A grades between them.
There are many outstanding individual performances, including two students who achieved a phenomenal nine A* – A grades: Ella Hesketh achieved 6 A*, 3 A grades and 1 B. Sarah Jones achieved 2 A*s and 7 A grades. Scott Doyle achieved 8 As and 2 grade Bs and Charlotte Barton achieved 1 A*, 7 As and 1 B.
These results are testimony to the hard work of students and staff and of the College’s underlying aspiration for every student to achieve the highest standards.
Principal, Cameron Sheeran, said: “I am proud of all our students and it is a pleasure to see so many superb individual performances.
“Students and staff have worked incredibly hard; the unwavering determination of everyone involved to achieve these top grades is truly inspiring. Revision classes, exam support and the production of quality revision materials are all contributing factors to this outstanding day for Cowley.”
