This year’s Student Voice president elected

Huge congratulations to Year 8 student, Jack Travis, who has this week been voted as the president of the Student Voice by his fellow students.

Jack presented his election campaign, alongside his fellow candidates, in assemblies last week before voting took place across all year groups.

Delighted to have been elected, Jack said: “I’m really pleased to have been chosen as the Student Voice president for this year.

“Every student has a voice and I want to help them make that voice heard.

“I’m excited to work alongside the Student Voice council and the College staff to try and make a positive difference.”

Jack is already thinking about some of the ideas he would like to implement during his time as president to help the College continue to improve.

He added: “I’d like to see a wider selection available in the canteen, with more healthy and interesting options, making sure that we cater for vegan and vegetarian needs.

“I would also like to prioritise mental health and wellbeing and ensure that all students know about the resources and support they can access should they need any help.”
