Students Celebrate Exam Success

Staff and students at Cowley Sixth Form are celebrating another great set of A-Level and vocational results

40 subjects achieved 100% pass rate and the overall rate remains strong at 98.8%.

The vocational diploma pass rate has remained at 100 per cent with 154 Distinction or Distinction Star (Distinction*) awarded which is the equivalent of grade A or A* at A-Level.

Notable performances that are worthy of specific mention include Mark Gabriel who achieved an A* and three As and is set to study Physics with Astrophysics at The University of Manchester.  Rhiannon Glynn secured an A*, two As and a B and is set to read Psychology at Lancaster University and Connor Parker cemented his place at Lancaster University to study Graphic Design after securing an impressive four Distinction Stars.

Matt Hesketh – Director of Cowley Sixth Form said: “We are absolutely delighted not only with the very high percentage of top grades but also with the consistency of performance across the board. These are extremely impressive. I am so proud that our Sixth Formers have achieved the results that they deserve.
