On Friday 21st July, Cowley breaks up for the summer holidays. We hope all our students, staff and parents enjoy their summer break and we look forward to seeing everyone back with us in September.
Students, please be careful and look after yourselves during the summer break. We have recently received notices from local agencies expressing concerns about a growing number of young people having accidents in water during the hot weather, injuring themselves on off road motor bikes and drinking alcohol. Mr Livesey offers some key advice about staying safe and we urge you all to watch the short video above.
Staying safe online
During the summer holidays, you may want to keep in touch with your friends through social networking sites, but remember that you need to be at least 13 to use most social networks.
Make sure that you use the privacy tools on the networking sites that you use, so that the content you post is only available to people you know and trust in real life. Here is a guide to the privacy settings of different sites here. You can also download the safety checklist’s for popular sites such as Instagram, Snapchat and Facebook.
