Children in Need at Cowley

Updated 22nd November

On Friday, 19th November, BBC Children in Need took place and Cowley International College got involved to help this great cause.

You may have seen on our social media platforms that Miss Kay and Holly have created a giant outline of Pudsey in the main reception. As the week went on, Pudsey filled up as students and staff added their loose change to it to make a fantastic piece of artwork as well as raising a great sum for the charity.

There were other fundraising activities going on too, including Year 7 and 8 students taking part in a sponsored fun run.

Over on the Sixth Form, during breaktime on Friday, there was a marketplace in Cowley Hall with a wide range of fundraising initiatives organised by the students: from arm wrestling to the human fruit machine, from bake sales to name the sloth and much more besides. See some of the photos of the activities below.

The Sixth Form fundraising, which took place over just half an hour, managed to raise £345.61, while money is still coming in from the other activities.

All proceeds raised from these initiatives will go to BBC Children in Need. Well done to all the students for showing the Cowleian values and supporting this fantastic cause.
